Adult Services Regional Workshop – Durango
Current Colorado librarians and library staff are invited to the Adult Services Regional Workshop in Durango on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Durango Public Library 1900 E 3rd Ave, Durango, CO 81301.
This promises to be a day of interactive learning, reflection on our own individual and unique communities, and collaboration. Six hours is nowhere close to enough to cover all the topics and nuances relevant to library services to adults, but it’s a start.
Topics will include:
- Aging in Colorado: Numbers, Ideas, and Resources
- Overdose Prevention and Harm Reduction
- Homelessness
- Adult Literacy
Coffee and tea, boxed lunch, snacks, and refreshments will be provided.
Since space will be limited and lunches will be purchased and provided for individuals with varying dietary needs, registration is required. (Yes, this remains free. Don’t fret about that!)
Notes:
- This is the same workshop content as the summer 2025 Adult Services Regional Workshops held in Grand Junction, Lamar, and Greeley. If you attended these workshops you may attend again, however preference due to cap will be given to those who have not attended prior.
- This workshop is only open to current employees of Colorado libraries.
- Registration is capped at 25 participants. If we hit that # I’ll ask for confirmation of attendance and close registration from that point forward.
