Join Beth Warren, Manager of Strategic Partnerships for the Denver Public Library, to learn why partnerships are beneficial to libraries, and how you can apply partnership principles to your work. The session will cover the building blocks of successful partnership development, creating a partnership framework, practical tips for finding mission-aligned partners in your community, and managing those partnerships effectively. Participants will then “choose our adventure” in partnership land- using Denver Public Library’s partnership examples to demonstrate different models for success in your own library and community.

About the presenter:

Beth Warren headshot.Beth Warren is the Manager of Strategic Partnerships for the Denver Public Library, working with internal and external stakeholders to connect community needs and responsive actions. Beth believes that listening to the community she serves is the most important part of her work, and what makes the Denver Public Library and its staff trusted and respected in the community. She has been involved in partnership development for more than 15 years, with experience in the corporate, nonprofit and government arenas, has successfully completed the Downtown Denver Leadership Program and the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts Leadership Arts Program, and is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Photographic Arts Center. Beth has presented at professional annual conferences including: Colorado Association of Libraries, Colorado Municipal League, Grant Professionals Association, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Lead the Way Community Engagement Conference. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and lives with her husband Brandon, son Everett and rescue dogs Raleigh and Ranger in Denver, Colorado.
