Job Hunting Like a Boss
June 15, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm MDT
For 100% of the people presenting this session – and for most of the rest of you – looking for a job is a stressful and deeply personal experience. Whether you are looking to make that next big jump professionally, or you want to better serve your job hunting patrons, we have valuable tips and tricks for navigating the turbulent waters of job hunting.
We will provide insight from both sides of the table: a seasoned veteran with more than 15 years of experience hiring in libraries, and a recent MLIS graduate who has submitted too many job applications to count! Come prepared to share your thoughts, experiences and questions, so that after this presentation, you will be better equipped to land your next big opportunity, and you will have a new/improved toolbox that you can use to help your patrons land theirs.
